The ENGAGE Workshop: Cultivating a Deeper Sense of Belonging and Participation in Your
Church
(Reno & Las Vegas | September 16–18, 2025)
The Nevada Baptist Convention is excited to host a special two-part leadership workshop this September
with ministry consultant Adam Erlichman from Build Groups. Based in Dallas, Texas, Adam helps
churches across the country build systems that move visitors and attendees into fully engaged, core
participants. He has taught workshops at our EQUIP Nevada conferences for the last two years and has a
heart for our state. We’re grateful to welcome him back to help churches across Nevada strengthen two
of the most critical systems for growth and health: volunteer engagement and effective assimilation.
Whether you’re a lead pastor or a ministry leader, this is a practical, hands-on training designed to equip
you with ready-to-use tools and proven processes for building stronger teams and helping people truly
connect.
The workshops will take place on September 16 in Reno at Crosspoint Community Church and
September 18 in Las Vegas at Mission Church. Each event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a
break in the middle and snacks provided. This two-part workshop is highly practical, providing you with
templates, frameworks, and a renewed strategy to help your church grow in depth and reach.
Descriptions of the workshop sessions are below.
Session 1 (9:00–10:25 a.m.): Doubling Your Volunteers in the Next 18 to 24 Months
In this workshop, Adam will provide infrastructural templates and documents to help you build a
custom process for your church or ministry to discover, develop, and deploy new volunteers.
Over 90 minutes, we will discuss several of the most common avoidable errors churches make in
recruiting and raising up new volunteers that can position you to realistically double your
volunteers in the next 18 to 24 months.
Session 2 (10:35 a.m.–12:00 p.m.): Efficiently Assimilating New Attendees
When God entrusts a new soul to steward into belonging with your local body of believers, how
effectively do you follow up to help assimilate them? We will discuss a holistic assimilation process that
enables you to customize your battle plan to fight for these searching souls to belong with a body of
believers. Assimilation Framework, templates, and actionable steps will be provided to help you start or
strengthen your assimilation process. One asset or tool you will walk away with is a template to create
your own 6-week follow-up plan with first-time guests.
We believe this will be a valuable investment in your ministry teams as you seek to engage more people
in service and belonging. This training is free to you and your teams, made possible through
Cooperative Program giving. We do ask that you register so we can plan appropriately—just click on
